Celtic Cross Pipes and Drums of Danbury

Celtic Cross boasts a roster of two dozen pipers and drummers from the greater Danbury and New York state areas. Our membership is made up of men and woman from a broad range of backgrounds, jobs, and pipe band experiences. Each musician demonstrates a commitment to the art of piping and drumming by dedicating considerable time, travel and expense to pursue his or her love of Celtic music and culture. The band uniform consists of summer and winter military outfits for parades and Argyle jackets and ties for concert engagements.

 

The band is available for parades, celebrations, holidays, parties and any special occasion where Celtic pipe and drum music can lend that special sound and sight to the day. Our music lists include many of the most popular Irish and Scottish marches, airs, jigs and reels settings. We take our heritage, music and band seriously but also know how to have fun!

The band is lead by Pipe Major Donald Hicks and Drum Major Bill Lewis. Every Thursday evening you can find us rehearsing at the Mill Plain Fire House in Danbury. We invite any prospective drummer or piper to drop by and meet the band. We continually recruit experienced musicians to join and grow musically with the band.
